Breaking News From the World of Corvette!
Might future Corvettes lose their foot pedals?
Last weekend while watching the coverage of the 12 Hours of Sebring on NBC Peacock, I saw plenty of “in-car” video of some of the cars during the race. The image to the right is of one of the Hyundai IMSA cars, but most of the race cars have similar steering wheel setups. Acceleration, braking, and shifting can all be done from the wheel.
Now think of how the dash-steering wheel setup of the first 1953 Corvette compares to the C8 dash-steering wheel designs. Between this and the advancement of autonomous driving, we could see foot pedals go the way of roll-up windows and hand cranks! Racer.com has the story HERE.
The Story of the Finest 1963 Split-Window Coupe Corvette – VIDEO
The arrival of the 1963 Sting Ray was one of the most radically advanced Corvettes built; at least as much as the C5 and C8 Corvettes. Bill Mitchell’s Sting Ray looked like “the car from another planet!” There was nothing else like it. And the Sting Ray’s interior was perfect.
There are good reasons why one of the Sting Ray’s nicknames is, “The Original American Idol”. So, when one of these beauties surfaces looking good-as-new, we should stop and take a good long gander!

Everything NEW on the 2025 Z06 Corvette’s
We are now into the C8’s sixth season of production. In addition to designing and developing additional models of Corvettes, engineers also work on honing the car to as close to perfection as they can. Every year there are small improvements, subtle though they may be. If you are getting close to ordering your new, 2025 Z06. GMAuthority has the rundown HERE.

If Your E-Ray isn’t Quick Enough, Callaway Has the Solution
We’ve all heard the expression, “… you can never be too rich or too tan”. The introduction of the 2024 E-Ray took Corvette performance to new heights thanks to its electric-driven front wheels. The combination of the stock 495 horsepower LT2 gas engine and the front electric motor, the E-Ray has a combined rating of 655 horsepower.
So, what happens when you supercharge to LT2 and bump the output to 687 horsepower, PLUS the E-Ray’s 160 horsepower front electric motor, you get 847 horsepower with all-wheel-drive!
This story just keeps getting more and more unreal! GMAuthority.com outlines the details, HERE.
We’ll talk. – Scott
