New 2026 Corvette Colors: Blade Silver and Roswell Green Metallic
It’s always fun to see what new colors Corvette product planners come up with. For 2026, there is one new color, and an old standard is coming back. Corvettes have always looked good in silver, which goes back to 1957. One of the seven available colors for Corvettes in 1957 was Inca Silver.
Since then, “silver” has been called “Sateen Silver”, “Sebring Silver”, Satin Silver”, “Silver Pearl”, “Silverstone Silver”, “Cortez Silver”, “Nevada Silver”, Pewter Silver”, “Silver”, “Silver Mist”, “Silver Metallic”, “Silver Green”, “Bright Silver Metallic”, “Silver Metallic”, “Sebring Silver Metallic”, “Sebring Silver”, “Quicksilver”, “Machine Silver”, and “Silver Flare Metallic”. (Bet you didn’t know there were so many silvers? Neither did I!) “Blade Silver” was available from 2009 to 2020. “Silver Flare Metallic” was available from 2021 to 2024. For 2025, there were no “silver” Corvettes. But for 2026, “Blade Silver” is back.
The 2026 “Roswell Green Metallic” is best described as “GREEN!!!” It’ll be interesting to see how many 2026 Roswell Green Corvettes are sold. We’ll update you next year.

Tech of the Corvette’s Michelin All-Season Tires
We all use the expression “burning rubber”, even though we also all know that there hasn’t been “rubber” in tires in decades. Tires are made from petroleum, and some tires take an entire barrel to make one tire.

Shirts, Mugs, Caps, Hoodies & More
A few years ago, at the NCM’s Michelin Bash, Michelin engineers were explaining the new performance tires on the C8 Z06 and how each tire has three unique compounds in the outside, middle, and inside tread of the tire. It was mind-spinning tech, and we shouldn’t expect tires to get any simpler. It also explains the cost of modern tires.

NASCAR driver with a street-legal C6 Corvette drift car
NASCAR driver Jesse Iwuji knows how to have FUN when he’s not at work. While this story isn’t “News”, it’s a cool example of what can be done with older “modern” performance Corvettes. While Iwuji’s 2006 427 Z06 might pass State Inspection, and is very capable of drifting, don’t try this in your neighborhood.
