John Meyerhoff and Mary Carol Plott’s Corvette Love Affair – Pt 2

Mary Carol Plott’s Corvette Personal Passion Story

Mary-Carol-1by Scott Teeters as republished from Vette Vues – You can enjoy Part 1 of the story (John Meyerhoff’’s story), HERE.

Dateline: 8.11.15 – Last month we told you about Lake Placid, Florida Corvette couple John Meyerhoff and Mary Carol Plott and their stable of driver Corvettes. Before the C7 Corvette came out, John had one of each generation Corvette! Between John and Mary Carol they have nine Corvettes (five are John’s and four are Mary Carol’s), but not all nine are in Florida. John also has a place in upstate New York.

Dateline: 7.27.15 Greetings Car Lovers! Lake Placid, Florida – The Jewel of South Central Florida – had their 19th Annual Caladium Festival Car & Bike Show on July 25th, 2015 at DeVane Park, and despite the clouds and looming rain, a good time was had by all. At least it wasn’t boiling hot.

While it wasn’t a “Corvette” car show specifically, for our Corvette Report readers I loaded the Corvette images up front. There was a very NICE selection of Corvettes, including Mary Carol Plott’s pristine 1971 Corvette, Bill Test’s Silver Green 1982 coupe and we spotted a Laguna Blue Tricoat 2015 Z06 with all the extra Z07 goodies. Shweet!

Here’s the video slide show…

We moved to Lake Placid in 2014 and this was our first Caladium Festival. It was a family-fun carnival experience with a dazzling array of vendors offering all sorts of hand-made crafts. Continue reading
