WILD 1969 Corvette “Car Life” Magazine Road Test, Every model, Every Engine!

I started collecting car magazines around 1965. While I still don’t have most of the magazines, I do have most of the issues with Corvette stories. Rather than let them collect dust on my bookshelves, I decided to scan the stories and make PDF files of the articles.
Car Life Magazine has been out of publication for a long time. The July 1969 issue featured the most comprehensive road test ever published. From 1965 to 1974 Corvettes were available with small-block and big-block engines with power ratings from mild to wild. Car Life assembled one of each engine variation, including the infamous 427 L88.
The big added bonus was a sub-story about Zora Arkus-Duntov’s R&D race-prepared 1969 L88!
It was fantastic summertime reading for legions of young Corvette fans like me.
